Booby-trap for Aksabab group??????Breaking News: Secret talks underway between Al Shabaab Iyo Puntland.
Somalinews: Top Al Shabaab officials and the Puntland government are believe to be in secret talks, now three weeks in process. An anonymous Puntland cabinet minister has confirmed to us this latest development. The Puntland region has recently decided to separate from the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia, dimming hopes for peace and stability as the government's internationally-backed mandate winds down.
It seems Puntland announcement to end its cooperation with the struggling administration in Mogadishu, has allowed the state to go into direct talks with the opposition. Top Al Shabaab officials are said to have been cooperating with the state, and a power sharing deal is currently the issue being discussed. The anonymous Puntland cabinet minister who broke the news said "Puntland is a peaceful part of Somalia, with a perfectly functioning administration, these talks are not for Puntland but Somalia as a whole. Our situation as a country is very ugly and Puntland is working hard to change the status quo". If these talks do continue and succeed, it will be a new dawn for Somalia, as Al Shabaab and Puntland together control most of Somalia.

Al Shabaab is slowing realizing taking all of Somali by force is unmaintainable. Puntland is a political force equal to Al Shabaab if not more powerful. Al Shabaab leadership are starting to open their eyes. These talks are good for Somalia in the long run.You must be a joke if you think Alshabaab is gonna listen Puntland, who they a consider an apostate, ethiopia vessel. if anything, they want to take over Puntland.

Somali Politics is unpredictable, so far these are rumors and word on the street. But in a week or so things will clear up.

WELL SAID!If this is true, it has nothing to do with having peace in Somalia, it has to do with something concerning Puntland, if Puntland wants to have peace in Somalia, they won't be disagree and fighting with TFG, which they were part of.
-Either they were so upset with TFG giving prime minister to Farmaajo, and telling their president to behave like a regional governor and not participate in international meetings, that they are allying with TFG's enemeys, "my enemy's enemy is my friend" philosophy.
-Or that they are afraid of the Ahlu Sunnah Waljamac Habergedir in Guriceel that just got fresh weapons from Ethiopia, and they trying to counter it.
- Or its a tactic to get TGF, AU or Ethiopia attention to include them in the government.

Respect is earned and not given. Like it or not Puntland is respected even by Al Shabaab. The state rules of 1/3 of the country, and is also the commercial hub of Somalia today. Al Shabaab have a lot to gain from Puntland, and creating a political alliance with this particular part of Somalia is key to it's political future. If shabab didnt treat xisbul aweys with respect what makes you think they will do that with maamul ashahaado la dirir ah when they defeat the sufis?
Dumbasssssssss

Your making no sense. The TFG can't bring about peace in Somalia, they control not a single village inside of Somalia. Expecting a Government that controls 4km of it's capital to restore peace in Somalia is delusional. Puntland controls 1/3 of Somalia while Al Shabaab controls another 1/3 of Somalia, a political alliance between these two entities can only bring about peace for the entire nation. If this is true, it has nothing to do with having peace in Somalia, it has to do with something concerning Puntland, if Puntland wants to have peace in Somalia, they won't be disagree and fighting with TFG, which they were part of.

First of all this isn't 1/3 of Somalia, more like 1/5 of Somalia, and if you take Sool and Sanaag out, its even less.Your making no sense.
