Imagine I teach a houndred students and you ask them about a particular issue and they all agree, it doesn't necessarily mean it is correct.

As for this issue, of whether it being correct or not, I think we need to just leave this debate, for the ones who do it already, they don't make it wajib, and they don't claim the prophet scw did it, so it isn't as a major issue as those who oppose it make it. I don't know what background they come from, and I do not believe that is relevant. Even if a non-muslim looks objectively at Islam, he would be able to identify that mowlid isn't a Islamic practice.
