YOU'RE FAR MORE PRECIOUS THAN DIAMONDS AND PEARLS
“If memory serves me correctly, I was wearing a little white tank top and a
short black skirt. I had been raised Orthodox Muslim, so I had never before
worn such revealing clothing while in my father’s presence. When we finally
arrived, the chauffer escorted my younger sister, Laila, and me up to my
father's suite.
As usual, he was hiding behind the door waiting to scare us. We exchanged
many hugs and kisses as we could possibly give in one day. My father took a
good look at us. Then he sat me down on his lap and said something that I
will never forget.
He looked me straight in the eyes and said, “Hana, everything that God
made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to. Where do you find
diamonds? Deep down in the ground covered and protected. Where do you
find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean covered up and protected in a beautiful shell.
Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock.
You’ve got to work hard to get to them.”
He looked at me with serious eyes. “Your body is sacred. You’re far more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too.”

Terrible analogy. Somali traditional clothing is already modest, unless you're trying to tell us that its not. We are modest people by nature and our clothing reflects that. There is a difference between modesty and ridiculousness. We are from Somalia, not the Najd.YOU'RE FAR MORE PRECIOUS THAN DIAMONDS AND PEARLS

NO SIR. When I see them, all I want to do is pull a gun out and get rid of them at the scene. Damn, there are probably less than 3 things that really piss me off more than ninja-wearing females, especially when its not enforced or rewarded.Ok, wait....you don't like it when women wear the veil in Western countries?![]()
You should come to london, you'll have 1 or 2 sitting in the same carriage as you on the London underground on a boiling summers day wearing even black gloves.
Please explain to me how the FUCK ON EARTH you can cover this thing up even more!^^^Somali traditional clothing is nice but it should be limited in your own home because it is not within islamically code of dress.
Abbowe somalia has many problems but ‘ninja clothing’ as you say is NOTone of them. If anything else more covering up would be needed.
So would you force women to wear lesser clothing because it’s not within you’re view? Plus why the hell does a grown man care about what women wear?

You misunderstood me im talking about traditional somali clothing need to be more covered up if it needs to be in accordance with the diin eg. dirac now that just doesn't cover up plus too colourful. Please explain to me how the FUCK ON EARTH you can cover this thing up even more!![]()

There is no point in arguing about this; to each their own.Hijab is a word that indicates not just the headscarf but clothing in its entirety which meets the following conditions :
1. Clothing must cover the entire body, only the hands and face may remain visible (According to some Fiqh Schools) .
2. The material must not be so thin that one can see through it.
3. The clothing must hang loose so that the shape / form of the body is not apparent.
4. The female clothing must not resemble the man's clothing.
5. The design of the clothing must not resemble the clothing of the non believing women.
6. The design must not consist of bold designs which attract attention.
7. Clothing should not be worn for the sole purpose of gaining reputation or increasing one's status in society.

One advice reform you’re family and leave the rest of us Muslim women wear our Islamic clothing which is our identity. That will be appreciated.
