PROOF: SOMALIA HAS ANCIENT HISTORY (UPDATE 2)

Postby waryaa » Sat Apr 16, 2011 11:38 pm

PROOF: SOMALIA HAS ANCIENT HISTORY

I came across this "cave man" mansion just outside of Bosaso (North Eastern Somalia, if you don't know where it is) I am not 100% sure but I think the Koran says "there used to be (large/strong) people who made homes out of mountains).

If you look @ the left you can see the door which is so heavy that you need more than one forklift to move it. Out of the view is something that looks like a window or maybe escape route in case of flooding, etc.

Strange homes like this are all over the region.

you are talking about people of Thamud.

o the Thamud people (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren: He said: "O my people! worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! This she-camel of Allah is a Sign unto you: So leave her to graze in Allah's earth, and let her come to no harm, or ye shall be seized with a grievous punishment.
"And remember how He made you inheritors after the 'Ad people and gave you habitations in the land: ye build for yourselves palaces and castles in (open) plains, and carve out homes in the mountains; so bring to remembrance the benefits (ye have received) from Allah, and refrain from evil and mischief on the earth."
—Qur'an, Sura 7 (Al-A'raf), ayat 73-74[5]

Then they ham-strung the she-camel, and insolently defied the order of their Lord, saying: "O Salih! bring about thy threats, if thou art a messenger (of Allah)!"
So the earthquake took them unawares, and they lay prostrate in their homes in the morning!
—Qur'an, Sura 7 (Al-A'raf), ayat 77-78[6]

Warya,

There is much to be discovered in Somalia. I can't wait to tour the nation and visit every single province.

Is it true that there are certain places in Somalia that are out bounds? Places that outside parties (none Somalis/the west/Egypt and Israel) have a great deal of interest as far as trying to unearth whats buried underneath. Especially in the north of Somalia.

I heard archaeologists and treasure hunters used to frequent this region in the 40s, 50s, etc. Then we became sovereign which may have affected their visits. Now, it is too dangerous.
