Damn, this is messed up. This is what I hate and can't understand about resettlement. You have refugees being resettled in the most remote, backward, uncivilized parts of the Country. I mean kids will be kids and a kid who looks different or has a thick accent is going to get picked on no matter what. Still though I think a kid in a more cosmopolitan, diverse area like the DC Area, Sandiego, Boston, Atlanta, etc. or in big Somali populated areas like Minnesota, Ohio, Arizona, will also be good. Its just sad to see these Somali refugees resettled in these friggin hillbilly, trashy areas like Tennesee, Kentucky, North Carolina. Also I think there is a concerted effort to resettle the recent Somali Bantu Migrants and cut them off away from Somali dominated areas

Remember before they came and were in the Camp's of Kenya they told of some horrendous act's that were committed against them and even though Somali's that abuse them, the Bantu's fell for the white man's game and added alot of salt and pepper on their stories and thus most of them where taken to place's where Ethnic Somali's were very low. I remember we had a huge of them come to GA and even saw them on NBC 5 Channel and when the Somali community went to greet them and assist they threw their nose on us, only to be fucked over the ghetto black americans they had huge fight's with. Most of them ended up fleeing to Maine and guess what, they are a part of the normal somali community there now.

Are You serious? If this is the case how foolish. The recently settled Somali "Bantu" have had a difficult time. A lot of them have even gone crazy after going so long without dealing with any Somalis. That is the whole point, the agencies bringing them try their best to assimilate these people into the African American Ghetto bullshit and change their religion and atleast in GA they kinda succeeded as far as am aware because of alot of them did end up becoming ghetto and wearing those stupid clothes and Grill teeth and try to change their religion. But guess what, that accent wont be going away anytime soon and so they faced huge problem's with African American's. At the end of the day the system has failed these people but than some of the blame also lies on them for trying to avoid the other Somali's and demonizing us to the American man.
