Saaxib ground offensive battles has not failed, but it is taking to slow. At this rate, shabab and TFG will fight for years until a winner is determined. Air strikes allow them to go directly into the heart of Shababistan and blow their bases up. Then ground offensives will be much more effective since they can advance faster, and thus win.
