I have a pottery wheel in my basement that I play around with. Sucks not having a clay oven. Instead I use my kitchen oven, set it to low @ around 225 fahrenheit. I took begginers pottery in college and liked it since. Found my wheel on craigslist for $50 last year. Also did photography in high school and wood working, never liked actual painting & art, don't have an artist's hands, could never make a surgeon, instead I'm stuck with these two claws. Still though, wouldn't want to swap them for anyone else's.

I haven't done any painting for a minute now but that's my department. Now that I am officially done with school, I have time to make few paintings this summer.

Impressive.. What happened? And do you still have any of your work?

Salaam Halfy.. I used to love pottery *even though I was no good at it*.. Still pretty impressive, didn't know Somali guys were into that sort of thing.. Do you use your pottery wheel often?

Hey, West. I've always been drawn to pottery, smithing & glass making. Hoping to someday save up enough to go to an actual glass blowing seminar under the supervision of a master blower, inshallah. Pottery is much easier in that it doesn't require as much equipment, you can do it at your own convenience, inside your home. I have basic skills, also watch videos about it online. Its a lot of fun, def. something to consider.

What do you enjoy? I also do landscaping around my house, wouldn't consider that a hobby though, neighborhood association is usually on me about it. I can work a mean lawn mower under our blazing sun if that counts for anything.

I used to enjoy drawing and I was quite good at it too - I have tried to paint and it isn't easy.
