Abdiwahab,

February 26, 1992 photo shows a young clan fighter loyal to interim President Ali Mahdi Mohamed, displaying his machine gun in Mogadishu in front of a burnt-out Soviet-made T-54 tank belonging to the rival clan of General Mohamed Farah Aidid, which was destroyed in clashes opposing two warlords on February 14.

Mudulood were initially the only clan militias using the FAL assault weapon the young mujahid is holding. I was suspicious when AW252 started claiming him to be part of the HG usurpers

As with all wars in Somalia, there are no real precise numbers. But it was bloody because the two most powerful clans in Somalia and their allies were fighting continuously none stop for 4 months

No offense, but Abgaal have a reputation for peaceful no warrior culture. If you want to compare it to Habar Gidir, that is only because Somalinet is full of new age young kids.

Abgaal prowess cannot be questioned. We are not known for Faan, and not 1 Abgaal house has been occupied in Xamar.

LMBO@ Abgaal have no warrior culture. Bro, the only kid you are talking here is you. From the occupation of Mogadishu in 1624, to the resistance against Italian colonization when other clans were willingly submitting, to the Mudulood domination of the Somali armed forces to the courageous defense during the civil war, only an uninformed kid or someone with grudge on their shoulders would deny that history. Fact is while other clans were exiting Somalia and handing their territories to HG and its allies, Mudulood stood firm and successfully defended their regions. Documentaries have been made about the Mudulood Militias by Western Journalists and here we have a kid who has never seen Somalia like you, making a weird and exotic interpretations. As Somalis say:

Abgaal Cismaan iyo Aar Libaax, ninka kuu aadino ka aal

Personaly I do not think there is reason for any Somali to look back fondly on civil war and dismantling of the Country.

Actually, this thread was never about that. AW252 used that photo in one of the other threads mistaking the guy to be one of Aideed's militias and I posed the actual source to poke fun at AW252's ignorance. Voltage came in and made a fascinating comment claiming that Abgaal have no warrior culture. If some people turn the discussion into a different angle away from its purpose, then they should be blamed for it.

Personally I'd do anything I could to disassociate from this savage looking individual. But to each his own I guess.
