It seems a bit adulterous to label it "dumb and childish" and then proceed to describe it with affection, admitting to having watched nearly 12 hours in one sitting. Just concede to being a fan. You'll feel much better about it.

i hate fantasy, the entire genre,
do not like lord of the rings, or any other similiar stuff like narnia..

Its either semi historical stuff like Rome, Spartacus etc
or Science fiction, or Sitcoms

ok scratch that there is no decent science fiction on television anymore.
and i am pissed of with the Syfi channel for cancelling Stargate-Universe..

I am still pissed of and will boycott it..(and it helps that everything they have currently sucks)

My brother wouldn't stop raving about this show, but I never watched it cuz I'm typically not into this genre of tv shows. But I decided to watch an episode online yesterday since I've been hearing a lot about it lately, and I ended up watching like 4-5 in a row cuz every episode ends on a cliff-hanger.

To anyone who's wondering whether or not to give it a chance, trust me...believe the hype

Joff is really good. Just the right amount of arrogance and naivete needed. But! The best cast character, and one of the better actors in the series is very easily Tyrion Lannister.

Perfect.
I agree Alpha, the imp is convincing in his role...and hilarious too

Definitely hilarious. He's a great actor. First came across him in In Bruges.

It was interesting when I first saw previews of camelot and gamed, I was more impressed by camelot, however, after the first episode games of thrones was my favorite. I would say more but I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't watched it. Spartacus, I can't wait.

i always pictured Tyrion to look a bit more disfigured. he looks normal apart from being a dwarf.
