A woman in Mexico has been caught trying to sneak her common-law-husband out of prison in a suitcase following a conjugal visit.
Staff at the prison in Chetumal, Mexico noticed that the woman seemed nervous and was pulling a black, wheeled suitcase that looked bulky, police said.
Prison guards checked 19 year-old Maria del Mar Arjona’s bag and found one of their inmates Juan Ramirez Tijerina, 19, curled up inside in the foetal position.
Jaun Ramirez is currently serving a 20-year sentence for a 2007 conviction for illegal weapons possession.
Maria Arjona was arrested and charges are pending.
I guess when you are facing a 20 year stretch there is no harm in trying the old hide in the suticase after conjugal visit trick.
