Affirmative action gone wild! Nasra Agil example

Nasra Agil all but admitted to getting her high profile job through the sticky mess of affirmative action.
“While this can be a very challenging position, I had the advantage of being a young, female, engineer of colour, presenting cutting edge proposals for mega development projects” says NasraNasra stood out as a hard working, brilliant and a rare female engineer in the Gulf region.
She basically has admitted the advantage of being a young, attractive, muslim, black, female, ethnic minority-Somali has helped her get ahead of others in her field.

This reeks of my own personal strife and unfairness of losing a promotion to a woman with the same quoata.

Women exactly like this are stealing all the high profile jobs by being able to fill 5 race quoatas at once.

Affirmative action gone wild pople!

Nothing to do about white people. Its to do with when a job is on the line the job should go to the person with the most skills.

Not because someone is young, attractive, female, muslim, black, ethnic minority-Somali.
Halimos are filling in 6 quotas so are stealing jobs from under the noses of willing applicants. This is completely and holy unfair I personally suffered this first hand!

Affirmative action is wrong and should be abolished. Race quotas are still active!

No offense but just from your little writing, you don't strike me as a particularly bright individual so maybe you need to rethink we you don't get a job or get passed over for promotion.

Can you also tell me why you skipped over the fact she was first in her Engineering class, attaining the highest possible score of any student? All the other things she listed are qualities that make her a more attractive candidate. Has nothing to do with "affirmative action".

Yes and the point I am making is that those "qualities" she was born with make her get an entire article about her and big coverage. Now imagine other women who do this they get put on a silver platter and pushed above others with the exact same achievements and even some with higher achievements.

I'm just making an example affirmative action has gone wild and is even coming to us. The more quotas you can fill the more of a minority you are the bigger advantage you get. The rest of what you wrote just seems like you are being emotional like I insulted your mother.

Why thank you dear. He seems to have been overreacting as I insulted his fantasy girl it seems let’s not stoop to his level I am not a "particularly bright individual" I must be making another wrong observation silly me.

Again, you don't seem like a very bright individual. Do you even know what affirmative action is? How does this girl getting an article about her for her unique achievements be labeled affirmative action? She graduated at the top of her Engineering class.

Also, in elementary school you read about the beginning of agriculture though multi-billion modern farming enterprises get rarely taught to us. You read about the Oregon trail and few American families going to Western coast though today there is hardly any attention devoted to the millions of Americans who fly to and from the West coast on a daily basis.

It is simple. This girl is a Somali immigrant, a racial minority from a poor economically disadvantaged background (she grew up in the ghetto the article said), who happened to go to a good school in Canada, graduated with honors at the top of her Engineering class, and became a successful and sought after Black African female engineer in the male-dominated, socially backward middle eastern Sheikhdoms.

How could that story's appeal for publication compare to regular John Doe from the suburbs, living off of his parent's legacy, doing regular work as an engineer?

Again, you are not a very bright individual for confusing simple issues and you of all people, prance prissing around here like an over indignant envious drama queen, have the audacity to call anyone emotional for calling out your less than appealing envious nature.

I was actually pertaining to my situation which you mentioned and callously assumed I didn’t deserve a promotion which is a remarkable assumption to make when you don’t know what actually occurred.
Anyway all you seem to be repeating is personal attacks pertaining to my intelligence which you assume is lacking. Thankfully I don’t have any issues with that and don’t feel envious towards anyone. I have my life she has hers.

So I don’t know what affirmative action is? Wow cluching at straws now are we saaxiib? Ok let me make you feel important mr voltage please tell me about affirmative action mr bright individual.
This girl is a Somali immigrant, a racial minority from a poor economically disadvantaged background (she grew up in the ghetto the article said),
Wow big shocker hold the press A sob story blah blah blah yes give her the job she so deserves it for being young, attractive, a racial minority, a poor immigrant, who is disadvantaged and has a poor economic background. On top of that being black and muslim therefore she deserves this job even more so. Great story, oh wait this seems be the point I am making.

We are going in circles saaxiib. I can already tell what your response will be you seem like a predictable individual so before we walk off into a tangent. Please tell me should someone be given an advantage for something they are born with to fill some nonsensical quotas?

Which in turn will eventually cause somehow who is better than more apporiate for the role to lose out because they are not as much of a minority. Please mr bright individual who wants to give me explanations and my walking talking condescending dictionary please bestow me with your wisdom.

What are you talking about??
In 2005, Nasra attained the unimaginable as she graduated at the top of her civil engineering class at Ryerson University posting a 4.22 Grade Point Average (GPA) from a possible maximum of 4.33 to earn a Honours Bachelor of Engineering (B Eng ) degree

Great resorting to repeating yourself you already said this saaxiib or did you not think someone as “bright” as you wouldn’t notice. Anyway I think this debate is over once the other person begins repeating something they already said.

PS. I'm not playing down her achievements I'm just saying her being a huge minority and being able to fill 7-8 quotas makes her an even bigger prospect to hire. Anyway this was just an example to show that racial quotas have gone mad. But there is no need for me to repeat myself I'm sure you understand.

No offense but you remind me of those below average White people who are always yapping about affirmative action to excuse their failures. We are humans, after all, we always need to blame someone for our failures. Just look at this example, your whole motivation for this topic, even if the girl and you are not connected at all, is because you were "passed over" for promotion. Ok?

Before I leave, let me simplify this for you.

Primary quality: She graduated with honors at the top of her Engineer class.
Supporting qualities: She is female, Black African immigrant from economically disadvantaged background.

There is no argument here beyond your inability to face your own failures and hold your own person accountable.
