In front of non Muslims I don't make Islam look bad and I make sure to always shed light on the positive aspects of the faith. Anti Islamic feelings make me nervous too because I have a Muslim name, family, and not to mention faith. But in front of Muslims I don't shy away from placing the blame and criticism a Muslim community I feel hasn't done enough to combat terrorism.

I can bet you that at least 90% of Western Muslims also immediately thought "Muslim" when the attacks happened. A collective huge sigh of relief escaped when ti was not a Muslim. The point I'm trying to make is that the name of Islam has been soiled in the public mind in the West. Therefore I do not think it is unreasonable to suspect Islamist involvement in large scale bomb attacks especially when they target government offices of a nation involved in Afghanistan. Not to mention Al Ansar Al Islam saying it did it within minutes.

What intrigues me the most is how the press never used the word 'terrorist' regarding this man. Muslim can be and are labeled terrorists over trivial things such as beard or wearing different attires. And here we have a man who killed all those people, and along with it, devised a booklet manifesto on how to carry out attacks and how Europe shouldn't accept Islam. Yet, he isn't called terrorist yet. He is just a 'violent' man.

The vast majority of the terrorist attacks in EU are not committed by the so-called Islamist Groups. For example in 2006, one terrorist attack out of 500 was linked to muslims ( The failed suitcase bomb plot in Germany). Too bad that the students of Ayan Hirsi can't capitalize on the terrible events in Norway.
