Actually, "Feer ama Ferr" means "Iron", the type you iron your clothes with.

Shanlo ama Fedh = Comb

Feedha = One Rib

Feedhaha = More than ONE Rib

Feedh = Punch

Northerners are descendant from cows so they have naturally heavier tongues, generally larger in diameter making it harder for them to say the letter 'r'. Ergo we notice patterns in avoidance of the letter 'r' made throughout the northern dialect.

lol im just kidding. i just felt like breaking into my snet netizenship with a qaabil joke. :clap:
LOL :up: :up: :D

Qawdhan walks into a barbershop in El-gab, Mogadishu (this is back in the 80's) and had this conversation with the barber:

Qanwdha: "Walaal madaxa ii feedh."
Xamaraawi barber: "*confused* adi ma kaftamooysaa ama dhab ay kaa tahay?"
Qawdhan: "Waar naw! Waa maxay kaftanka iyo howlahaad nala gashay? Waar madaxa noo feedh baanu ku nidhiye noo feedh dee."
Xamaraawi barber: "*Turns to other people in the shop* Dadyahoow hadaba markhaati ka ahaada yaah. Hadda madaxa inaa kaa feero maa rabtaa?"
Qawdhan: "Waar waa maxay naftan waalani? Waar noo feedh baan ku nidhi waynu daahsan nahaye."
Xamaraawi barber starts punching the guy in the head and the shocked guy returns the punches and the rest was history.

:lol: :lol:
