UGLY stage

Postby sexy-kitten » Sat Jul 30, 2011 10:57 pm

Is there such a thing as the "ugly stage" when growing up?

My mom and I were looking back at old family albums and we stopped at my baby pics where I was missing like 3 teeth. My cousin was standing next to me crying and I was smiling HARD with my innocent face. What happened was, I hit him before we took the picture and he had his left hand on one of his eyes!     My mom told me that we were both in our ugly stage. I was like "REAAAAALLYYYY, hooyo!!! Are you serious? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy???"

Now, do you see ugly babies that turn out to be cute years later? I know I have!

I don't think babies are ugly, they all look the same to me, all of them are adorable espicially when they are 5-11 months. They make me want to have babies when I see them. But I've seen ugly teens turn into beautiful adults.

I had many phases in my days. I went through a braiding stage, I always had my hair in braids. So my african neighbor/friend used to braid my hair yaah. Her little brother was straight foolxumo! Now, the little nigga turned into a little cutie now. He hit puberty, got taller and all!   Sad thing is, I have only ran into her brother twice and haven't seen her since 7th grade!

BTW, I included babies in my last line. Like you said, most babies are cute! My topic was originally about the "ugly stage" when kids start missing teeth and look all funny. That's obviously not toddler age!

Yes there is an ugly stage. Most people do get over it most of the time but some never get passed it, and so they come in terms with it and just live with it. Two such people are actually here in somalinet, one is called uglybrother and the other is Foolxume. They both seem to be in that stage for life and proud of it.

I definitely went through that stage (and I still probably am  ) - at the age of 8 I had four incisors removed from the top and four from the bottom all in one day  basically for a good two years I was empty mouthed and it was all to do with me ruining my milk teeth (candy & fizzy drinks  )

I was an ugly (not literally ugly, but not pleasant to look at haha) teen who didn't know how to dress...who always looked messy, and was pretty much a tomboy...now things have changed for the better
