I hope Obama realizes his mistake in supporting Mubarak's overthrow and quickly provide support to the military and the secular segments of Egypt's population to squash this salafi uprising.

Salafis are just a loud minority who often hijack national politics. And just like Iran, a salafi controlled Egypt will become a threat to the free world.Let them work it, no need for foreign intervention. If people want Sharia Law, let them have it - they'll ultimately become Iranians and be fed up with self-styled Imams claiming to hear Allah's voices.

Yes people from from all walks of life took to the streets, but the minority salafis remained apolitical. They made it clear that they were against January 25 protests. Their message was not to overthrow the ruler, Mubarak funded them and used them as a tool against the Muslim Brotherhood. So why should they take to the streets now and demand an Islamic state? That is hijacking.I'm at work so I can't see the video, but what do you mean that someone is hijacking the revolution? No particular group owns it so how can it be hijacked? Revolution was made collectively by Egyptian people and even though secular youth took the first step by organizing first protests through Internet the ordinary people from all walks of life quickly took the streets and they weren't following any group but just wanting to oust the government. Gaalada were horrified how many people there were with big beards and Islamic look, so it's not like they were sitting at home and only now came out. Muslim Brotherhood as an organization didn't take part but "Islamist" individuals were very numerous and big part of protests. Secular youth represent no-one but themselves and they have no special role or say reserved to them in new Egypt. They have the same authority than anyone else.
