Gaza launches relief campaign to support the Somali people

The Arab doctors union launched a campaign on Tuesday to assist the Somali people.

The campaign is called "From Gaza hand in hand to save the children of Somalia" and will last throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

"The campaign aimed to demonstrate the extent of physical cohesion between besieged Gaza and Somalia and that the Palestinian people are capable to support and stand with the Somali people,” coordinator of the Ma’an Office in Gaza Abdul Rahman Haddad said.

Haddad clarified that the donations would be in cash and will be transferred to the office of the union in Cairo, which will purchase food and medicine and send it to the victims in Somalia.

He added that each individual needs about $10 to save his or her life.

He pointed out that that the Arab doctors union also opened bank accounts in the West Bank and Gaza Strip to facilitate the process of voluntary contributions to the Somali people.

How many times have the Somali Diaspora gathered money to send to Palestine. It happens every bloody Ramadan, if not more often.

Somalis have sent millions over the years to Palestine and other troubled Muslim states.

Lets cut the crap and be objective.
