Can the Somali diaspora play? If so they need to call the professional Somalis who play in Europe and get the best Somali disapora players to ''audition'' for it... Call it Somalia's next footballer/s..![]()

Exactly, bring up guys like Ayub Daud who would certainly benefit from playing internationally, the kid had stints with Juventus and I think he's still a part of that organization. Can the Somali diaspora play? Said has said the federation would also seek to recruit young players from the diaspora to reinforce the national team, which is currently in training in Mogadishu.

Sounds a good vision and one that is possible. Why don't u lead us the way? Somalis just need a great sincere leader.Lets adopt and sponsor the Somali team. I was thinking about buying and investing in my own football club in Somalia, but if we get together we can adopt the national team and make it one of the best in Africa.
first of all, they should get collect the best Somali soccer teams in North America and Europe and than pick the best of the best from them, combine them with the best from Mogadishu and sorounding. and than tell the Somali community to fund and pay for their expenses and equipments for the next two years, training in North America and Europe, and playing with other clubs and teams.
we wouldn't win the world cup, but bet you they can qualify to go to Brazil for the world cup.

That's too soon, your expectations are way too high. Egypt, a country with a buttload of talent and arguably the best team in Africa (won the last 3 African cups) haven't made it to the world cup since 1990. You expect us, with no experienced players, no star players, and not enough coaching experience to somehow fix our situation in 3 years? We can't even qualify in the African championships with 16 spots, how the hell do you propose us making it to Brazil with only 5 spots available?!!Lets adopt and sponsor the Somali team. That's beside the point I'm trying to make. Somalia has NEVER qualified to the African nations cup which hosts 16 African teams every 2 years. The world cup only hosts 5 African teams. Do the math. You cannot tell me its easier to qualify to the world cup.You getta realize that there is a lot of corruption in Egypt soccer team. how else do they win every time in African championship but never even qualify for the world cup most of the time, forget about winning it?
What they do is, they usually hold the African cup in Egypt, and most of the referees and African teams or coaches are paid off, you don't know Egyptians. that is why in the last world cup, there was a huge fight between Egyptians and Algerians, to the point there was killing and looting. even Algerians asked for European referees.
