I don't know what your babbling about there but this Geele character did come to Muqdisho empty handed and his human rights record is one that needs no introduction. As to what the propose of his visit were I'm still confused... whatever his intentions were, they were definitely not a humanitarian one.

Thats rich coming from you. Wasn't it you who made a topic about the femine in some part of somalia not receiving the same attention as the one in another aprt, all because of qabili? For a man who cared more about the qabil of those stricken by famine you sure seem to be in line with Amiin amiir's take on the president's visits. Or is this also another qabil motivated post because i wouldn't put it past you.

Yeah when I started the topic which you seem to have brought up the fact was people up in northeast Somalia were experiencing food shortages and other hardship do to drought way before the famine in the deep south was felt. Whereas they were the forgotten ones those in the deep south turnout to be the lucky ones in their hour of need and I was damn glad that their cries were heard. No starving child or mother deserves to be ignored so I don't see why I shouldn't be outraged about the inconsistency dealt those from northeast Somalia in their hour of need.

It's really unfortunate that we all few things from tribal point of perspective, that though is perfectly understandable since Somalis today are caught between a rock and a hard place. The reality is neither you nor Abdiwahab252 are looking out for my interest and vise versa. Whereas I look forward to the both of you questioning every little thing my kin does even if it's a positive one, you two can also count on me to question all your kin's dealings as shady.

You just proved my point with the above statement by making me and Abdiwahab252 as allies out to get your "kin". It is unfortunate that Somalis sees things through qabilist lenses but famine is where most of us draw the line. Obviously for some there is no distinguishing between political qabil banter and real humanitarian crisis. Further more, you seem to be making your argument on the basis that while people in the northeast somalia were forgoten (due to no falt of theirs), you though it was fitting to bring your grievance at a time when the famine in the south was at its worst.

But then again if you already feel that everyone is out to get you is there any wonder why you brood over anything you perceive as untoward your kin.

I think the fact that so many countries have donated money has made some people confused about the definition of charity. Qof qasab ku leh Djibouti in Somalia lacag ey siiso majiro.

The visit is showing political support to the TFG and building optimism for the future of Somalia, the drought aside.

Djibouti while Omar Geele is at its helm will not be a neutral partner; Somalia has a healing process to go through and he has never been a genuine broker in our nation’s history since it disintegrated.

His visit indeed seems to be more of a political one then anything; I don't know how people will perceive the TFG after the much talked about meeting inside Somalia happens but for now not everyone is onboard with this TFG... Geele is perfectly aware of this but being the kind of broker he is I don't think he cares much, which is exactly why people like Rovingmandass are boosting about "Irirism."

There is no optimism to be revived here only shady dealings. You too will soon realize that the only progress this TFG seems to be making is off the backs of the famine victims.
