What makes their continued stay in their historical land "unfortunate"? :?
Because they are technically foreigners. :|
They have been in Somalia far longer than the Saxons have been in UK and now Saxons define the identity of Britain and far longer than Europeans have been in North America where they now define the identity there. As you have proved before, you are nothing more than an uber xenophobic bigot which unfortunately is one of the most ill-defining characteristics of the unlettered Somali desert nomad.

However, I really think the Bantu numbers in Somalia have to be rethought. I can't help but notice the news feeds and pictures from the Dadaab refugee camp show people who are predominantly ethnic Somalis but the pictures and feeds from inside Somalia particularly Mogadishu environs show people predominant who are Bantu. Anyone else notice that?
When I went to Somaliland I saw Bantu people everywhere. Bantu children running around everywhere... Bantu people filling the mosques... their numbers are seriously underestimated. They are a sizable minority in Somaliland let alone anywhere further south.

There are too many xenophobic bigots on this site.

I wonder how the Bantus are treated in Puntland and Somaliland.

I noticed the same thing, must have to do with geography than other factors. Dadaab is the furthest away from any regions Bantus inhabit, whereas Muqdisho is much closer to the Shabelles which have been hit the hardest and where many Shiidle populations inhabit. Furthermore, Gosha is pretty much untouched by the drought and that might explain why you don't see Bantus at Dadaab. Most Bantus generally make their trek to Kakuma and that is where they are predominant. Muqdisho has always had local Jareer-weyne populations, specially in areas like Waaberi, Buur karoole, Boondheere, Xamar jajab, Shingaani, etc.
