I dont like this federalism, all it is one big barrier and obstacle to Somali unity. I mean whats the point of federalism exactly? do we not have the same culture? ethnicity? language? could you tell the difference between a Somali from Hargeisa to one from Kismaayo to one from Bosaaso excluding the accent; accents are hardly a big deal most countries have got regional accents.Pan-Somalism hasn't died but the original Somaliweyn is not anything but a pipe dream.
I would like to however see Ogaden becomes its own independent state, as well as the NE province of Kenya. They both have a larger populations than Djbouti and it would be nice to see if they can get separated from their imperial states. After that has been established, we could foresee a Somali peninsula states council where each nation would be independent of the others but united at the same time for a cause of stability and economic prosperity within the region, I would even welcome a separate state for Somaliland if that were to be the case.
