It says in the Noble Quran that the EARTH is flat, and Allah created the Mountains to stabilize it, so it won't shake violently with Earthquakes due to instability.

Sh Bin Baz has been dead for a while now so why bring up his name just so that people can insult the noble sheik. He become blind from the age of ten and accomplished more than any of us can dream of. He has helped countless muslims with money throughout his life..

As a matter of fact, sister KOW is right if you've read the Quran in the original Arabic.

The English translation is rife with misinterpretations, there's a passage which states unequivocally that the Earth is flat. This thread wasn't made to debate this fact, as far as I'm concerned, if the Quran says it, it is so. Any Muslim should agree.

My derision was aimed at Bin Baz's zealotry. To make takfir over something which simple Da'wah can fix is ridiculous.

Actually,bin Baz made a mistake and soon realized it,one of his relatives who was an astronaut and worked for NASA convinced him that he saw the earth rotating when he was on a space shuttle.the book is banned.The Quran doesnt say the earth is flat.

You are quoting a Fatwa and that book does not exist.

The fatwa does exist. Ben Bazz later retracted it after he was condemned and ridiculed worldwide, even among the Saudis.
