Probably for at least 3 different reasons! One being that as Somalis we don't believe in allergies to food, we call that Kibir and being spoiled. She's lucky they're not forcing the mangoes down her throat. Second being that they're not going to have the entire family suffer because of one single person and third is would be that they're just trying to help her get to her xabaal quick. its probably the third one lol

I'm also allergic to gluten, and everytime my dad buys sandwiches I take out the bread and he says waan kibir badhanahay hadaan cuuniiwaye the whole sandwich wax ma la iga siinayo. I'm 21

What sort of reaction to you have to it? Is it serious?
Plus do you have to take it orally for you to get an reaction or do you simply just have to come in contact with it?

If its the latter one.. Marka as a family they shouldn't even bring it inside the house.. My younger brother is allergic to washing powder and my hooyo doesn't even buy them anymore.. Its best just to avoid it altogether.

Ps., I've got allegy to Guava.. Waliba its my favorite fruit..
