Diin Question.

Postby zingii » Sun Aug 28, 2011 9:03 pm

If you step out the shower and its prayer time, do you still have to perform abolition even though your body is clean of dirt?

Am asking because a friend of mine was telling me how you don't have to do it since your body is clean from the shower.

Excellent question brother.

From my honest understanding and beliefs I believe. First you must have the intention that your shower will be a wudu/abolition for prayer and whilst in the shower you must rinse your mouth 3 times and rinse your nose also 3 times then complete your regular shower. That is enough and that shower will then be fit for abolition to pray.

However remember the intention is important.

Remember Allah Ta'ala Knows Best anything that is wrong is my fault.

Shower or ghusl?
Isn't Ghusl pretty much the same thing? Full ablution I would think is showering. Allah knows best.

It depends on which school of thought you follow..
I think only one madhab believes you dont have to do wudu after you've bathed or showered *Only if you had intensions beforehand*... But the others dont..

Its best to side with the other three madhabs on this..

Allahu aclam though!

Ghusl and shower are not the same, because you don't perform the same proceedings. If one did ghusl, he doesn't have to do wudu but if he only showered than he has to do wudu. That's how we learned

If you're in doubt, you're better off making the wudhu because there is a hadith that says 'that which is lawful is clear, and that which is unlawful is clear. Between the two of them are doubtful matters about which many people do not know. Thus who he avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor but he who falls into doubtful matters (eventually) falls into that which is unlawful, like the sheperd who pastures around sanctuary, and truly alla's sanctuary is his prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh, which if it be whole, all the body is whole and which if it is diseased, all of the body is diseased. Truly is the heart.. Related by Al bukhari and muslim.'

Lol it's OK. There're two ways to clean yourself in Islam: Ghusl and wudu

You perform ghusl after emission of seed or after intercourse. If you do Ghusl you don't have to do wudu. Showering isn't the same as ghusl
