Voltage, Murax, Ximan come in please

Postby Alchemist » Tue Sep 20, 2011 11:14 am

This is a honest discussion with the mareexaan members on this forum like Murax, voltage, Ximan etc. i want your views on this right here. Most likely this is old news to you either way.

Xoosh a prominent mareexaan figure at the time of Sayid Barre goes on universal tv and insults the north says they had culture of prostitution, khat corruption etc that the south didnt have. Then a few days later members from the mareexaan community go on universal tv and apologize. They say this individual doesnt represent the mareexaan clan, one of those leading this was Cabdulqaadir Xaaji. At this point Xoosh feels bad about his actions and tries to go on universal tv to apologize but since he insulted an entire region of Somalia on live tv they refuse. Then Xoosh decides to make a personal video on youtube where he apologizes to the people of the north. Then he goes on to distance himself from the former government. He accuses Cabdulqaadir Xaaji of being a close friend of Sayid barre and at one point even bragging about how he destroyed the second largest city in Somalia. Now the whole thing turns into i did less of crimes than him. Remember these two guys knew each other very well before the civil war.
First video of Xoosh on universal tv. about 40seconds into the video

Second video of Xoosh on youtube apologizing and accusing Cabdulqaadir Xaaji of war crimes.

Now my questions are this:1. What are your views on Xoosh and Cabdulqaadir Xaaji :?:

2.If a man can come on live tv in 2010 and insult an entire region calling their women sluts and accusing a former friend of his of war crimes without any remorse do you think such a man is capable of war crimes and taking advantage of his position :?:

3. Is it just possible that these men at one point while using their influence could have killed innocent people :?:

BTW it was good that the clan came out and publicly and condemned Xoosh`s actions.

p.s. lets not turn this into qabil bashing but a honest discussion to try to understand where each group is coming from.

First of all, Xoosh Kibrey was never involved in government, never held a position, and has never been accused of anything. He was a businessman and as for what he said, I think it is evident even he feels it was inappropriate, counter-productive, and insensitive and apologized accordingly. He realizes he made a mistake and he has atoned for it, no need to keep rehashing it.

Also, I think he felt frustrated for Cabdulkhadir Xaaji Massale to attack him so publicly and so personally and what he said about Cabdulkhadir was based off of that strong emotions of being "thrown under the bus". I think it was said more to hurt Cabdulkhadir and get him to realize how hurt Xoosh Kibrey might have been from the public attack from a guy he considered a friend and kin. It could even be that Xoosh thought Cabdulkhadir was trying to make himself look good by trying to demonize Xoosh. In any case, I don't believe for a second Xoosh caliberated the move to publicly attack Abdulkhadir and probably regrets how he did it including the untruths he said.

As for Cabdulkhadir Xaaji Massale; Somalis have heard of his brother General Cumar Xaaji Massale being attacked and accused , but no Somali has ever heard of Cabdulkhadir being accused of anything. Unless one wants to say that being a member of the old regime is in its entirety a crime in which case Cabdiqaasim Salaad Xassan, recent Somalia president, Siilaanyo, current Somaliland president, Faroole, current Puntland president, etc are all criminals unless one is taking that extreme position, then there is no reason for Cabdulkhadir to respond to anything or be defended against anything. He was an honest civil servant who served his nation.

Voltage we will get to the Hawiye politicians and their roles in the government and usc later on, maybe we can create a topic for it but right now we are talking about Mareexaan politicians.

So even though Xoosh publicly accused Abdulqaadir Xaaji of crimes on video, claimed he told him how he destroyed second biggest city in Somalia you think this was all out of anger :?: you have to understand how that would look to an outsider. here we have two men from the same clan, one accusing the other of war crimes. btw Cabdulqaadir Xaaji seems the more reasonable guy to me but that is just my opinion.

Were there any politicians from the Mareexaan clan that could have misused their powers under the regime :?:

In short, you wish to preside over, in a grandiose fashion no less, an anti-Marehan and anti-Siad Barre topic that wishes to castigate a whole community of Somalis and reiterate the most generalized rumors and untruths and baseless streotypes about this community, the sum total of their experience in the longest era of governance in modern Somalia, as well as the entity that represented such leadership of governance?

Yet Murax, Ximan, and I are invited, in such a beguiling attempt, to legitimize such a sideshow.

How astute. :|

voltage you generalize about hawiye politicians almost everyday and at times we even agree with you just to get to a middle ground. Walahi if you think this topic will lead to problems just tell me and i will edit it right now. i was actually looking forward to having a honest discussion with you based on fairness.

Alchemist-

I have never spoken about Hawiye politicians; I have remarked on Hawiye warlords. Where has Voltage generalized the likes of Cabdiqaasim Salaad Xassan, Xussein Kulmiye Afrax, General Liiqliiqato, Addan Cadde, Cabdullahi Ciise, Maxamed Sheekh Cusmaan, Cabdullahi Caddow? Nowhere do you see Voltage opinion about Hawiye politicians yet you have seen Voltage remark on Hawiye warlords throughout my time here. The point is I consider those members of legitimate Somali governance whether part of the Kacaan, or the 60's to be legitimate personalities whose tenure in office and achievements should be analyzed by objective legitimiate persons; not be brought into a sideshow of mistruths and fallacies paraded by biased individuals on a cyber forum.

When you have put such an accusation before me, all you have done is expose the limitations of your own basis vis-a-vis the characterization of former Somali governance, i.e something profoundly "foreign" to your clan.

Besides a businessman only cares about profits. ;)

Voltage your clan is not on trial here so calm down sxb. Thanks for your input is much appreciated and i am sorry i mixed up warlords with politicians, most of hawiye politicians today can also be considered warlords :)

Ximan whether his a businessmen or a politician is not the point. On video the guy is accusing another man who was a major figure in the government of war crimes. Now who is lying xoosh or Cabdulqaadir Xaaji :P

You need to learn the difference between a businessman and a politician. Also I have no time, to debate about accusations.
