Somali Christians in Xamar

Postby AhlulbaytSoldier » Fri Sep 23, 2011 10:15 am

In this photo of Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, A Somali Christian man reads his daily prayer book in a locked room in Mogadishu, Somalia. A handful of Somalia's secret Christians hold morning prayers among the spiders and seagulls in the rubble of a bombed-out house, sharing two tattered Bibles and a prayer book they keep locked away. As the rising sun warms the stone walls they break bread and sip beer wine can't be found in a furtive, fearful sacrament. Many have had friends murdered. Some have been attacked themselves. The men say they know of more than 200 Christians killed during the past two decades of civil war.

Its not the first time people claim to be christians just to get in EU/USA.

The TFG and AMISOM must act to ensure their safety and wellbeing. When the permanent constitution is written, guarantee of religious freedom is a must.

Their rights should include free and unhindered practice of their religion, the promotion of religious tolerance and acceptance of minority faiths by the government, compensation for passed discrimination, the renovation and protection of the Cathedral of Mogadishu, and the implenation of hate speech laws against those who seek to undermine religious pluralism and cause polarization.

Lets not ignore their rights, remember that western countries gave us the right to live in their countries. Build mosques in their countries.

Grand,
You follow different ideology of islam. Stick to that.
It doesnt say anywhere that jizyah is for born christians. You cant even bring evidence.

There is nothing wrong with peaceful ex-muslims who are now jews or christians aslong they are no threat to the state or call people to disbelief.

@ AW   , FAIL indeed
I think these ppl must be eelay or jareerweyne.

I just think they want to get into the West.

If they were really "Christian", they would be more hidden than the spirits themselves and no one could possibly get access to them, especially Western photojournalists or Somalis who can keep no secrets.

If they have ababdoned Islam, why don't they also abandon Somalia and settle in non-Muslim countries? Being a Muslim should be part of Somali citizenship; you abandon Islam, you also abandon Soomaalinimo. Simple as that.

It is clear Christian missionaries are doing their work while we Somalis are caught up clannish nonsense, hate, and killing each other. We should go back, learn our faith, and implement sharia law in Somalia collectively.
