After Haraam boyfriend became so rampant in the west, Sheikh Muxamad Rashaad ( AHN) Came up with Xalaal boyfriend suggestion. So many somalis disagreed but So many welcomed it as a solution to end xaraam boyfriend.
His argument was,
This kids are growing in the west with so many temptation on their shoulder. They have no strong Iimaan and culture to make them overcome it. They know about prom, they know about being virgin as a shame. They think having a boyfriend proofs the girl is attractive. The boys think dating so many girls and laying them is a proof of being cool.
His Suggested Solution.
If you see your daughter with a boy that she thinks she likes, talk to the boy or the girls parent and tie the nikaah for them. Lets say the girl is 13yrs and the boy maybe 15. Let them have two rooms. One at the boy's family house and one the girl's family house. Let them sleep sometimes in the girl's room and sometimes in the boy's room. No responsibility attached. They can use condoms if they want because using condoms is less thanbi than committing Zinah which we are trying to protect. When they are old enough, especially after high school, let them move into one of their rooms and stay their to learn to be responsible. Let them cook for each other and staff. Help them find a job and maybe they can move out if they want. You can even give them a little xaflad to mark the transition.
