I agree. Been a big fan for many years. Do you think it now serves as an alternative lifestyle?
It seems as Blacks in Europe become more disenchanted with popular culture, they are seeking alternative lifestyles. Been to the Jazz Club in London a few times to see Neo-Soul artists like Chrisette Michelle. If I was in America, I'd probably live in the Atlanta Suburbs and occassionally visit swanky Jazz Clubs and discuss conscious topical issues with the middle class African-American.
Listening to this in the Hargeisa night.
Sadeboi, post a few clips sxb.

It does serve as a an alternative lifestyle, one of finding a black identity that is pure in its roots and not vile and vulgar like mainstream black artists. There is politics, social injustices, true love, spirituality and a certain intellectuality involved in neo-soul music and culture.

Sadeboi,
How do you express your neo-soul culture?
I always had the understanding that cultured African-Americans are very easy to get on with and for many years saw them as a point of reference as far as Black Culture in the West was concerned. I've heard from my friends across the pond they're actually very pretentious and use the neo-soul movement as a platform to perform for their fellow African-Americans to gain ' cultural credit' through displays of Afrocentricity.
Can you give your views on Cultured African Americans please?
