Eastside suburbs are good if you have a decent wage. Bellevue schools are top notch.
Stay away from South Seattle at all costs. Crime isn't a huge problem anywhere in the city, but living in that area will have a negative impact on children, especially teens. Not to mention the schools are rubbish in that area.
North Seattle is ok.
