Worldwide somalistudents update from Mogadishu conference

This is from the Mogadishu conference the Worldwide Somali students had. The members in the meeting are almost all living in Mogadishu. The rest of the group has Telephone conference with them. It was mostly a basic information & Brainstorming conference.

The Aims and objectives of Worldwide Somali Students and Professionals




1. To unite the hearts and minds of Somali Students and Professionals around the world.

2.To get Somali Students working together and have a common agenda globally.

3.To promote Somali Nationalism and fight Tribalism and Regionism.

4.To prepare Somali students for their future roles within their community so that student they can lead their society in each position.

5.To get Somali students to be involved in the current and future Somali affairs in all levels in order to improve the lives of our people and be part of the rebuilding our nation.

6.To promote education among Somali students and youth in general.

7.To do yearly fundraising activities around the world with the purpose of sponsoring Somali students, who cannot afford the tuition fees to attain higher education.

8. To have a record all the details of Somali graduates and Professionals around the world in a database.

9.To have operations to go back home every year in order volunteer and pass on the knowledge to our people back. This Operation to start in June 2012 and subsequent years.

10.To harness our resources such as agriculture and set up a National farm to feed our people in order to avoid any future famines.

I don't know about you, but I always wanted to physically go to Somalia to help my people...it doesn't matter which region or city....but for now...Xamar is the MOST important! Btw, I was looking at a job describtion somewhere...I do not remember where...they were looking for teachers to teach in Somalia....it was EVERYTHING...from math, sciences, etc etc...except English....what gives?????? :o
