خطبته حين ولي العراق

فلما كان اليوم الثالث خرج من القصر فسمع تكبيرا في السوق فراعه ذلك فصعد المنبر فحمد الله وأثنى عليه وصلى على نبيه ثم قال :

:يأهل العراق يأهل الشقاق والنفاق ومساوئ الأخلاق وبني اللكيعة وعبيد العصا وأولاد الإماء والفقع بالقرقر إني سمعت تكبيرا لا يراد الله به وإنما يراد به الشيطان ألا إنها عجاجة تحتها قصف وإنما مثلي ومثلكم ما قال عمرو بن براق الهمذاني

وكنت إذا قوم غزوني غزوتهم فهل أنا في ذايا لهمدان ظالم
متى تجمع القلب الذكي و صارما و أنفا حميا تجتنبك المظالم
والله لا تقرع عصا عصا إلا جعلتها كأمس الدابر

but he described them very well. الله ما سلط عليهم بالحجاح من غير سبب

I see ripe heads which are ready for the harvest, which have been arranged to let the blood flow between turbans and beards! For long you have been following the course of bias and have been keeping to the side of obstinacy, but now, for God, I’ll bark you as well as people are used to doing with trees, I’ll thin you out as if you were mimosas and I’ll beat you as well as people are used to doing at the well with the camel which is extraneous to the herd. For God, I don’t make promises without keeping them. For God you will remain on the right path or I’ll make you worry about your physical conditions. If I should find here anyone who belongs to al Muhallab’s expedition three days from now, I’ll shed his blood and I’ll dispossess him of his belongings!".

caadi ma eheen ninkan walle,he was a legend on a league of his own.he was the only guy who have ever united the entire iraq under one banner before Saddam.
p.s: I thought he gave this speech on his first day in Basrah though.At least that's how the musalsal portrayed it.

who recorded all of this conversations word bye word sentence bye sentence? , because those days there were no voice recording devices as we have today. i think most of this speechs or alleged speech LIKE THIS one XUJAAAJ IBN YUUSUF , not only this one but many other ancient arabs speechs are actually second hand creation of storytellers after houred of years the time this people lived.
