Somalia 18 regions estimated population (1995-2015)

Postby XimanJaale » Sun Oct 30, 2011 4:43 pm

In 1995 the top 5 highest populated regions was in this order:

1. Banaadir (Mogadishu)
2. Bay
3. Lower Shabelle
4. Middle Shabelle
5. Gedo

In 1995 the least populated regions was in this order:

1. Sool
2. Nugaal
3. Awdal
4. Galgaduud
5. Middle Juba

Majority of the the high population regions are in South Somalia, this shows you why there is long conflict in the South. The higher the population the more conflicts. Thats why Somaliland and Puntland had peace quickly, because the population is small.

In the western countries, the more densely populated a area is, the more criminal activity. The less population the fewer criminal activity.

 @ Bay regions population numbers holy sh1t. Also shocking how small the population figures for Northern regions are.

The TFG should be restructured in terms of population figures. Makes no sense to have more representatives with less population

I can believe most of it except Gedo; it doesn't even have one sizable city yet its more populated than Lower Jubba, Bari, and Waqoyi Galbeed who all have at least one (sometimes more) larger cities than anything in Gedo.

Leaving the failed state is one thing, but do they leave with Sool and Sanaag?

I find it hard to believe your pro-SL stance after hearing for days from the landers about Siilaanyo's visit to Tukaraq (sp?) which is apparently a "stones throw" from Garoowe.

Misplaced hate?

My friend, I know its hard for you to accept anything that has to do with Marehan. Let me tell you, infrastructure has nothing to do with population but peace.

If you travel from Doloow to Luuq (30km distance) you will drive past atleast 20 villages with each village having over 500-1000 people in it. Forget about the towns populations in Gedo. I remember travelling from Beled-Xaawo to Baardheere, its was like wooow.

Niin Sade tiriyay muxu tiriyay? (great maahmaah) ;)

Gedo
