Thank you.
I lived in Nairobi South C for 8 months i didn't get the chance to explore the city but i used to go to Eastleigh almost everyday Eastleigh is very sad place it's very overcrowded and dirty specially when it rains. I am also not a fan of Kenyan police iyo laaluushkooda.Nairobi has better social ammenities and has cooler weather. if You go to Hurlingam, Westlands, Lavington, upper hill et areas.Yes I am going to Addis Ababa insha Allaah. Eastleigh ,Komarock and South B is shit area
Boli near the airport.
I only came to Europe 5 years ago before that i lived in Somalia. Nairobi specially Eastleigh for me is the worst place to live. I always thought Addis Ababa was very cold because of the Ethiopian Highlands. this lady from Addis Ababa told me in Addis Ababa Somali people are well respected she also said Somali people opened businesses and shops even the Ethiopian PM said Somali people are cool people and they know so much about business and warned against attacks on Somali community in Addis Ababa.Your coming from a western country, then don't expect golden streets in Africa. Live in whatever area in those cities you mentioned. I suggest you move to Nairobi, specially Eastleigh area. Very cheap rent but high food prices other than get used to dirty Africa, p.s. Do not even go to Adiss Ababa, its like hell hot and smelly
Friend Maasha Allaah Thank you for the information I appreciate.Addis is nice if you are staying in nice area like Bole near the airport. The Somalis mostly live in Bole-Mikael which is like 15mins away by bus. They have a lot of businesses in that area but it is quite modest.
Pros:
- The police are not corrupt like the Kenyans. As far I know they never ask for money and might even arrest you if you try to bribe them.
-Very low levels of crime apart from pick pocketing in busy suuqs. Addis is much safer than Nai-roberry and no violent crime.
- Nice locals. Ethiopians are actually laidback and very nice people who mind their own business.
Cons:
-Lots of begging. Beggars from the moment you leave the airport.
-Lots of poverty
-Police everywhere. Melez is running a police state.
