Why do people use sins as an excuse to discourage ajer?

Postby Nanees » Thu Nov 10, 2011 5:33 pm

Like when a person says "I'd rather not, thats haram" to something and their friends reply "Please, you smoke cigarettes/dont wear hijab/watch jersey shore/ect"

As though the only option for sinners is more sinning :| I hate people like that, they get an automatic dismissal from my life if they bring up my faults for their own personal gain or entertainment.

I know this one girl who is really knowledgeable mashaAllah and when we met she was like stone in her diin but lately shes been slippin, and all her friends are like that. Its gotten to the pt that if i ask her a question on something like we used to ask each other and help each other find the answer, she'll refuse to answer even if she KNOWS the right answer. She says she feels like shes pretending to be somebody shes not anymore :? wtf

madara f*ck off  she didn't book it, whyd you have to? And you shouldnt take knowledge only from people you think are better than you. At the end of the day the knowledge is from Allah not from sinner and it wont change whether or not its coming from an imaan or a drinker

I would not take medical advice from a garbage man nor will I take religious advice from someone I deem lesser than me.

I might not be right but that is how I have always operated and I shall not change it.

Thats arrogance though, thats like saying "If a homeless man gave me the cure to cancer i'd ignore it, but if a biochemist did i'd profit from it". Either way, it's you thats gonna lose out or YOU thats gonna win. Nobody else, but hey at least you know yourself  I hate people who work so hard to hide their sins from bin adam and act like Allah doesnt always know.

Isn't it the essence of hypocrisy to preach what you don't practice?
