Al-Shabaab will not be Defeated

I hate to break this news to some of you but that's the truth. Militarily you can turn Shabaab to ash, and that won't defeat them. These ikhwans will return another day to fill another vacuum. The question since day f-king one has been - can anti-Shabaabists in the south present an alternative besides anarchy? And the answer is NO. Not because I say so but because it is true.

Already in Xamar warlords have come back from as far as rural Minnesota to set up isbaaro. Rape is rampant again and food aid is once again deployed as a weapon today, as it was years ago by warlord Gacmadheere from Cadaado. Already people in Xamar are arming themselves against random TFG militias.

The question again is - can the south offer a simple, humane alternative to whatever Islamic rulers you are running from?

That is the reality.

That's no true in the sense that Warlords are returning to Mogadishu. Lastly please allow giving the evil eye to Mogadishu, bismilla

They will slaughtered once a righteous man is leading the AntiShabab force. One who will lop off their heads with no mercy and is willing to end up being a shaheed if need be.

Until then, the Al Qacida will run around while a baffled Usurper looks on as his bastard spawn generated from his one night stand with Usama.

True. In 2006, a number of forces (US, Ethiopia) tried to squash the armed wing of the ICU. But the armed wing survived and transformed into a force to reckon with. Today, more forces (US, France, AU, Kenya, Ethiopia, etc) are trying to crush al-Shabaab. If al-Shabaab survives (indications point to that), it will emerge even more powerful and consolidate more lands (this time the entire Mogadishu, and possibly P-Land and S-Land).

Taliban is more popular than Dostum in Afghanistan. The moment ISAF pulls out the Taliban will retake the country. Afghan Army has the highest rate of defections in the world. Further underlines the point of this thread. You need a relevant, functioning alternative to win a war decisively.
