The list should be revised. Maybe Daanyerow does't deserve to be mentioned in the same company as the legends in that list.
Instead, my former ustaad @ S.S.Y.L. School marxuum Elman deserves to be in the list.
But if there ever was the slightest of doubt that Imaam Ahmed Gurey is the most admired Somali to ever grace on the face of the earth, the result of this poll should put that doubt to rest.
It is a landslide victory for Ahmed Gurey.

Hasan barsane
General daud
General siad barre
For those who questioned general daud, this was a man who protected the dignity of the somali people, so much so that he led an incentive for war after a female somali national was physically abused by a habash soldier, and we forced them to sign a ceasefire in sudan in 1964. But today our women are raped in refugee camps and their homes are pillaged by foreign troops, but we are busy supporting our warlords.

To be honest the only two who deserve to be called great are Sayyid Muhammad Abdullah Hassan AUN and Ahmed ibn Ibrahim al Ghazi RA. Everything before, after and in-between were only a great disappointment.
