http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/new ... inity.html
The academics, working in conjunction with Kamal Subhi, a former professor at the conservative King Fahd University, produced the conclusions in a report for the country's legislative assembly, the Shura Council.

It warned that allowing women to drive would "provoke a surge in prostitution, pornography, homosexuality and divorce".
It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Hmm, did I mention I did not watch that video? Yes. The point I was making is that memri is unreliable.

Saraxnow, it might have been taken out of context or the subtitles might have been tampered with, but how can you deny what she says?

Even if you don't understand Arabic, you will understand the curses they throw around at the end.

So the beef with MEMRI is that it only translates the interesting/controversial segments of Arabic tv? Even your video accepts that MEMRI does post clips from the enlightened/ moderate voices in the Arab world. The problem with MEMRI is not with the accuracy of its subtitles or anything, just that it broadcasts the shame of the Arabs to the rest of the world.

Not true. It has been shown to produce inaccurate translations and to also take things out of context (check previous Guardian article), not to mention the people behind this are neoconservative and pro-zionist-Likud- supporting characters. As the guests said, it is a propaganda machine.

You probably don't have an issue with that, but to a lot of people unnecessarily inflaming (the already lame) relationship between the ''the West'' and ''the Muslim World'' is a bad thing.
