Are you ashamed Somalia is number one in the list I wonder who compiled it and if they are right putting Somalia in number one 22 years we have been in civilwar all the state functioning instituitions are non existing and destroyed so how are we in numb.1 or We are killing each ather and corruption goes on unhindered why are there so many ills in our country and society ILAHAW NA SAMATA BIXI OO DHIBKA NAGA SAAR, AAMIN.

I've just prayed Maghrib and somehow inside the prayer I remembered I read this today on the net and wanted to post it.

And to answer your question, we are number one 'cause let alone over the years, just this last crisis in Somalia hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars have been given to Somalia from many countries and organizations so what was done with it? Where is it?

Just like most african countries the money given to improve their countries are all in the pockets of those who are put in charge, these so called leaders are nothing but self absorbed scavengers.

Its not only the politicians, its the people too, but this list is in regards to government and business corruption,

Corruption is deeply rooted in somali culture

Relatives who r asked the look after ur home since u live in the west and they rent the house to some family and profit with the rent payments

Construction companies given $50,000 to build a good quality home but only spent $25,000 in labor and materials

A lot of somalis are slithering snakes and corrupt

This is biased ranking. There are many African, Asian, American and European countries that are more corrupt than Somalia.

Bigger news its that the U.S. wasn't even in the top 20. Singapore finished 5th. Botswana finished 30th which is also very impressive. Has to do with institutions plus economic/domestic policy.
