That reminds me of Hargeysa, people chilling out in the streets at night.

Muqdisho, the cradle of somali civilisation; Muqdisho=somalia. It will rise. Despite years of civil wars and destruction, the spirit of Muqdisho never died.

Despite the daily propaganda of villages being portrayed as cities, no place in somalia can beat muqdisho.

Good effort on part of the photographer, but taking pictures in daylight would have been better.

"New Xamar" would be a cool city. "Xamar Cusub"? Hmm... maybe not.

New Xamar is back to Old Xamar with shabaab slowly recapturing Kaaraan, Heliwaa and Yaaqshiid. The new strategy of apostate khawarij seems to work because amisom takes every day ten dead bodies to Uganda and Burundi. While the dead tfg's are looma ooyaan.
There goes sharif's dream of: Xamar is liberated.
