Muslim communities in the UK, including Somali's have an increasingly high rate of HIV/AIDS. I know someone who works for the NHS and she said she saw numerous Somali women coming into the clinic with recently discovered HIV or AIDS. She also said that she sees many Arab men coming in for their drugs and tests because they cant do it in their own countries. The AIDS rate is spreading, and innocent men and women will marry them and not have them tested first. I would advice all of you to go for a screening and discuss this with your partner before going any further in the relationship. I was astounded by the number of cases. Some of them were Islaamo who claimed they got it from jaad of all things. Be careful guys.

Totally agree BV...some of the girls were as young as 15/16. All it takes is for a couple of people to sleep with a couple of people and before you know it, its reached you. I will not marry unless both me and my partner can stare at documents stating we are both clear. HPV can pass through a condom and will give you herpes or something similar so protection is not enough. Gaalo say over 70% of sexually active people will get HPV and that its not worth mentioning, even though it has symptoms. These disgusting people sleeping around with anyone they meet make it far more likely for me to get an STD. Aduunyo.

It certainly increases the chances, especially if it is a girl that is vetted (family member/etc.) and kept away from institutions with lots of men.

Its a preference, a safe one. Is it fool-proof? No. But it is an improvement in chances.

More than anything else this is what pisses me off about spouses who cheat/Muslim men who get married in secret. They are deliberately exposing their spouse to a host of diseases without their knowledge or consent.
