Udun, we can all sing NO SEX before marriage as much as we want but religiously unsanctioned sexual intercourses will happen.^^ As muslims, condoms should not be pursued as means to prevent this disease. No sex before marriage, and no adultrous activities are the best due course to prevent this disease and any other STDs.
For those who are already affected, they should not hide it from their future spouses.
Subxaanallaah, I wish we discuss this thread in Somali.

Mondey and MONK,that is what u get when u commit Zina.

Vast majority of the cases are due to forbidden sexual intercourse.Mondey and MONK,that is what u get when u commit Zina.

What about the thousand of kids who got the disease through their mothers? what about the thousands that got it through blood transfusions? and unsterlised needles?
STD are diseases that cannot be eradicted through laws and religious fatwas.
You can only defeat it through information and the promotion of condoms.

True. Walaahi, I almost cried the other day when this woman who came from somalia recently told me a horrible story. She met a man in SOmalia and married him. He came to Europe and was diagonised with the disease. His wife and children arrived and he did not inform them as required by law. They got two more children. She was called to the clinic treating her husband and asked if he told her... no, she said and ended up in a mental institution.^^^ Men too, for crying out loud.

those pious women have got the disease from their dirty husbands that had forbidden relations with other sinful dirty women.. again its women.I don't think so saaxib. This is an epidemic. I have seen many pious women who have contracted the disease. Many of the women I met have been married to men who claimed they lived an islamic lifestyle.
You and I know that sex cannot be banned. Prostitution is the oldest profession on earth.
I think we need a pragmatic approach. Our sheikhs should be very vocal. If we see it as a disease that does not attack muslim people, then we are making a big mistake.
Udun is right, absolutely on the mark.
Instead of focusing on what is already rotten, we should be looking for solutions. You can't save the 30-something individual who has already fallen into a death trap, but you can tell the next generation about what's right and wrong.
Anyway, I hope all of their jaahil 'condoms' break, these are clearly people who are pursuing rotten deeds. Let's just protect ourselves and pray that these animals don't enter our lives.
Sometimes I think people like the Taliban and Al-Shabaab have their heads in the right place, actually they do. Lashing sexual deviants and stoning adulterers is a civic duty, no less.

the only way to prevent this disease is safe sex and by that i mean marriage not condoms and shit. anyone deviates from this rule should only blame themselfs for what happens to them.

Lamagoodle that is a very sad story wallahi. I understand because people who live so called 'religious' insular lives rarely understand HIV like the rest of us who read these articles and media stories on health. They really need more awareness and acceptance of the fact that it can hit them regardless of appearances. The poor babies and hooyo.True. BTW, both of them were very pious (at least given their looks and discourses)
