Below are instructions on how to split your video into two parts using Windows Movie Maker.

I will try to explain the steps as best as I can. There are more advanced ways of doing this but I am providing the most basic instructions as possible so that it doesn't confuse you. The instructions below is assuming you have Windows Movie Maker version 6.

Insert the disk.

In Windows Movie Maker, click on File > Import Media Items. Alternatively, you can also click on "Videos" under "Tasks" on the left side of the screen. Select your video and click "Import".

Make sure that the bottom of the screen is in Story Board view (you should see "Story Board" drop down box on the bottom left).

Drag your imported video into the story board.

Drag the marker of the video player to a point in the video where you want to split the video.

Click the split button underneath the video player.

Now you should see that there are two videos in the first two boxes in the story board.

In the story board, right click on the second video and click "Remove"

Go to File > Publish Movie. Click on "This Computer". Give your video a file name and select a location on your hard drive where you want to save the video. When you publish this movie, this will be part 1 of your video.

After you are finished publishing the movie, don't exit Windows Movie Maker yet.

On your keyboard press Ctrl and Z at the same time. This will undo where you removed the second video from the story board.

Right click on the first video and click "Remove".

Go to File > Publish Movie. Click on "This Computer". Give your video a file name and select the same location on your hard drive. After you publish the movie, this will be part two.

Now go to YouTube and upload part 1, then part 2.

Windows movie maker does it, upload it and cut into as many pieces as you like
