Americans...you have to treat them like kids to get them to empathise or understand anything...This is so childish, I hope it works.

Yep! Obama is finished and he just continues Bush's policies. I'd love to see Paul win the Republican nomination!

Futile effort.

The US of A is running into a ditch at full-speed, with no brakes available. These people are so completely unaware of their surroundings its a bit disturbing to see in the flesh. They're a society that literally refuses information, if you tell them the sun won't shine tomorrow they will throw a hissy-fit and demand that you take your words back. I have friends who either get angry or start to panic when I prescribe simple information, like the unemployment situation or the Eurozone collapse, I've listened to them talk at length about how information is unimportant and how we just don't need to know "those things." Its something you really have to see in person. The few who are less like this, genuinely believe that their country will fare well in the "case" (as if its a hypothetical scenario) that things do go sour. The US of A, as it stands today, will tie with China as the worst-hit region in the world, in the case of a sudden economic collapse. These people have literally built a system that is so vulnerable and yet place such high faith in, that its not even possible at this stage to try and fix or change it. Everything in the US of A was built to last for no more than three generations, from the gas-guzzling suburban setup to the system of transportation and even the way food is made and distributed. It was an of this impending reality that has entirely transformed the way I think, behave, and live. Its not a bad thing, the human race in general needs to change its lifestyle habits and live more sustainably, so we are headed to a better place, but the road there will be ugly for those who are unprepared or uninformed. I've begun to notice that even my most stubborn friends are now accepting this "end of life as we know it" scenario, though it only makes the future easier to deal with, it will not change the inevitable.

Tool up, niggas, its gonna be a bumpy ride.

P.S., don't waste your time voting, the system is rigged, or at the least skewed on an extreme scale. The defense industry is a major industry, and is now up to $1 trillion in dollars exchanged. It is becoming increasingly privatized, and the industry cannot afford to become "isolationist" - there is too much money to be made. Some little ass politician will not be allowed to step in front of an industry that would rank among the world's 5 biggest economies. Zero chance. Another war (or multiple) is already opening up, and Ron Paul, even if president, will be useless to stop it. Before Clinton became Obama's Sec. of State, she went on camera and made some extreme comments, even for a guy like Rumsfeld - the old ho went on a tirade about how she's attack Iran for some of the silliest reasons - she was essentially doing everything possible not to upset the military industrial complex, the only force stronger than the banks and the oil industry. The CIA (separate from, but related to the military) alone has a budget of $44 billion and would rank as the world's second highest-spending military if it stood alone - you think those guys are going to settle for a smaller budget because they'll no longer be tampering in everyone's backyard. Think again.

Only the votes of the corporates, lobbyists, interest groups, banks, etc count; yours doesn't. For Paul to be elected, he must take oath to continue Bush's policies, as Obama has done.

Corporations and the rich aren't inherently evil. I never understood this visceral dislike for the Movers and Shakers of society especially when no one wants to live in world run according to the wishes of the "average" man. If the dictates of the "average" or "common" American had their way, they'd be no female suffrage, no emancipation of African Americans, no labour rights, no minority rights, no religious rights... not an iota of socially progressive development. Every historical progress was at the behest of minority who almost always hailed from the upper echolons of society. How can the average American who thinks Africa is a country be trusted with deciding weighty foreign policy issues?

The unwashed masses should only be trusted with trivial matters like the verity of Kim Kardashian's humongous rump. But come more intellectually naunced matters like foreign affairs and war & peace, I'll take the choices of elites over the unwashed any day of the week.

Lol@@ NoAngst!
There is a difference between being a member of an elite and being an elitist. The elitist have a character flaw and suffer from Maria Antoinette syndrome. The elitist also assume they are better than member of the masses because they are book smart !

BTW, FAH, that is a great commercial! Ron Paul always says it as it is, therer is NO SPIN with him, however he has no chance of winning.

The US economy is in a mess because since Ronald Reagan, finance laws have either been weakened or abolished and the security and exchange commission has been turned into a department operating for the sole interest of Wall Street. American Foreign policy under republicans did not fare better

To be fair, the Republicans are more fiscally responsible than the Democrats, but their zeal to dismantly laws under the pretext of promoting free enterprise, is negatively impacting safety net programs, the environment etc. The system is broken and needs a major overhaul. Government wast and Republican resistance to tax reform need to be seriously addressed

As for Obama, he has been a disapointment on so many levels, however he is the lesser of 2 evils and I beleive he will win a second term.

Obama isn't lesser evil than Bush, so he can't be the better evil against the next Republican candidate.

Fah is young, enthusiastic and full of hope. Don't discourage him from trying to change some thing for better.
