A fresh perspective on autism research with the developing "Bacterial Theory" of autism. The fastest-growing developmental disorder in the industrialized world, autism has increased an astounding 600 per cent over the last 20 years. Science cannot say why. Some say it's triggered by environmental factors and point to another intriguing statistic: 70 per cent of kids with autism also have severe gastrointestinal symptoms. Could autism actually begin in the gut? The Autism Enigma looks at the progress of an international group of scientists who are studying the gut's amazingly diverse and powerful microbial ecosystem for clues to the baffling disorder.

Since gaalos poisoned Somalia's oceans, could it be possible they also poisoned our kids in the diaspora? You may fine it weird but I could not understand why Somali children's autism numbers are far greater than the children of other communities? :(

If you look at the history of native people in the Americas, you would find that poisoning the unsuspecting population was very much the final killer that decimated the indigenous communities in the Americas.

It is the pain killers they use. God gave us natural 'epidural' to combart the birth labor.(astrogen in our body combats pain, that is why women with extreme astrogen and feminine self love rough sex and pain, because their have natural pain relievers in the body). Drugging yourself during birth labor, no doubt makes the drug go through the blood stream and the brain of the child. I had my babies the natural way. Of course, i had to curse and fcuking verbally abuse him as he lovingly held my hands--but it is worth it. Alhamdhulilah my children are NOT retarded. Sharp and whimsical as they should be.

Immigrant population control. I don't know how long autistics live on average, but it's costly (materially, emotionally) for parents to raise them.

Basra, this isn't a matter of laughing. You should be cautious, less a child of yours or one of your relative is affected. Instead, make duco.

The evidence that autism is caused by vaccines is inconclusive. One theory holds that in ethnic groups that migrate from warmer climates, it could be deficiences in the seco-steroid hormone, VItamin D during the prenatal period that ultimately contribute to the underlying etiology of autism. Vaccines once were preserved through the use of the dangerous compound-methylmercury, but their use have been stopped long ago before the peak of autism in Somali children. The ultimate cause is a mixture of genetics and environmental factors.
