Breaking News: A/Wahaab shoots his colleague at the MSF

Postby The_Patriot » Fri Dec 30, 2011 10:06 am

By Associated Press,

MOGADISHU, Somalia — An official in Somalia says a disgruntled former employee has shot two international workers with the aid group Doctors Without Borders and at least one person has been killed.

Ahmed Ali, who works for Doctors Without Borders in Mogadishu, said a Somali employee who was fired on Wednesday shot two workers with the group.

A Nairobi, Kenya-based security official said a Somali man wielding a gun attacked the aid workers near a busy junction in the Somali capital.

The nationalities of the aid workers weren’t immediately known. The security official spoke only on condition that he was not identified because the information hadn’t yet been released publicly.

A Doctors Without Borders spokeswoman said she could not comment on the report.
