galia, FAH is the nicest mod when it comes to giving abusers some slack. Having FAH on your tail tells me something about u. Pls adhere with the rules and listen to the mods and u'll be fine.

This Fah is trying to permanently ban me, all these warnings we given to me unfairly in just ONE day.
The following is a warning which has been issued to you by an administrator or moderator of this site.
This is a warning regarding the following post made by you: viewtopic.php?f=18&p=3466807#p3466807 .

No need to throw insults at us

I also have a complaint as to why a person such as Yungfreash is a MOD. Because i and many of the oldies know his dark past

Walahi i was surprised on how Fah turned all animal on me after only questioning his thirst for more control.
I regret it, because he gave me two warnings, followed by the earlier warning that the qabil eccentric Yungfreash gave me.

Sorry I just had to laugh at this, Galia is a great twister..

Thank you very much for those of you who are supporting us make this place manageable.

Most complaints are about 3 things:
1- Islamic Topics: We explained why they are being moved. Remember political threads being moved to where they belong? Now that section is very active. Religion stuff is also being moved to where it belongs. Call it snet 2012: categorized and enforced.

2- Posting warnings that have been issued against you in public. That will not help anyone. If you receive a warning and you know who gave you then pls contact that mod and ask why. Insulting or threatening mods won't help.

3- Why my post/topic got deleted. The first thing to to do in this case is to re-read the rules and see if it violated any. If you are confident it did not, then ask one of the mods what happened to your post.

Hostility toward one of the mods will make all mods' eyes on you. Calling mods qabiilist/dictator/etc doesn't solve anything. hundreds of posts ranging from personal attacks to hate propaganda get purged everyday. If your post is one of the deleted and/or you were given a warning, then the right thing to do is read the rules and contact one of the mods if you still have questions. Mods are under no obligation to explain their actions in public.

It is 2012 now and we are going to enforce forum rules fully. If you don't like any of the rules then copy and paste them here and tell us why you can't abide by them.

adios

I have no complaints. I enjoy my time here, and it's clear I'm only causing you folks a headache.
Don't hate me too much, please.

But I do have questions, that I hope will be answered:

1. What should happen when one witnesses a member, whose previous threads/posts that have broken rules on 3+ occasions and have been deleted, continuing to post on the forums?

2. What should happen when one witnesses a moderator break a rule?

3. I find these rules very ambiguous. May they be better defined, please?
1. Treat other members with the respect they deserve. This should go without saying, but treat others like you would like to be treated!
7. Keep messages on-topic

That's all. You guys are great, really. It's more than obvious you're trying to please us. I hope I continue to post here, and have members and moderators enjoy my comments (if possible). Seeing active moderators and admins really makes it worthwhile.

:-O a positive post for once.
1. What should happen when one witnesses a member, whose previous threads/posts that have broken rules on 3+ occasions and have been deleted, continuing to post on the forums?
As you can see we changed the rules, even though some don't deserve a warning, esp repeat offenders and those who continue to break the rules, but we are still willing to give them a chance to correct their action, banning should be the last option, but sometimes it's necessary depending on the severity of the action, it could result in an immediate ban for instance if a member decides to expose another member's private information, bashing the religion etc.
2. What should happen when one witnesses a moderator break a rule?
Report the thread/post, or talk to the mod directly via PM..

1. Treat other members with the respect they deserve. This should go without saying, but treat others like you would like to be treated!
It just means show other members respect and the mods. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Criticize ideas and not people, no personal insults towards the mods or other members.
7. Keep messages on-topic
It means don't hijack threads..

We can make it more simple and clear if that's what you prefer, is not really that much different from the rules we had before..we just made it shorter and different lol

Thank you for responding.
No, I prefer highly detailed, well organized, uniform rules that leave zero room for imagination and misinterpretation. As they are now, and even worse, as you've described them, it seems punitive actions toward members will be at the whim of whichever moderator is present.

I'll keep your immediate reaction in mind, and leave it at that.

Can someone please ban & then hang this member called Nabeela? Thanks in advance. 8-)

But honestly, (speaking from the Slife experience) mods & admins in this site are the most understandable, easy-to-get-a-long with & not dictators/trigger-happy ones I met in other sites.

Thanks guys for the good work.

Thanks for the new rules!
It would be wise if the moderators cited the broken/violated rule when warning or banning a member. Furthermore, it will be helpful if the warning is posted publically.

I notice that one of the earlier rules which I dreaded is gone! The one about "cursing" "abusing" the dead who raped our nation

Keep up the good work.

Nabeela, I am not the kind who spews venom at the deceased. But, I think we need to revist our history, put them on cyber trial and sentence them to NOTHING; the fadhi ku dirir courts.

P.s. I suggest you have a sticky thread on the top with the names of those banned and those who are warned; a kind of name and shame thread.
