Something is happening

Postby HaileyBailey » Fri Jan 06, 2012 2:41 pm

For a few years now, I've been working for an internationally known financial company. When I started my job I noticed that most of the employees where white, and the rest were comprised of indians, middle eastern and few africans. Then a while ago, this chinese dude come in as the new face of the management team and now there are about six chinese people working on my floor. Coincidence?

United Nations system, the World Bank always had a quota system where national of donor countries are well represented. The HR of the UN organization do targeted recruiting for donor countries whose nationals are under-represented. I recall at one time aJapanese classmate and several of her compatroits were recruited for the UN. China is opening up and probably wants to manange the money the West owes her :) . As the person above said, it is time to invest in learning Mandarin and Cantonese.
