Postby Skippa » Sat Jan 07, 2012 11:06 am

I just came across this video on youtube and I am a little confused. Gorgeous girl, beautiful smile but I don't understand what she's going on about.

I believe she's talking about seeking spirituality & finding inner peace through one's self, specially if you're a woman and rejecting patriarchal religions that have male origins. From what I know, it has roots in Eastern religions, specially Hinduism with the whole Goddess concept. There was also the Egyptian Goddess. Some women use it for Ayurvedic reasons, yoga, meditation, etc. It's very ancient, but also very new-age with a lot of women seeking alternative to what they see as "male religions" She sounds like she's only focusing on its meditative traits.

Skippa,

I admire her tenacity & desire to try new things. As long as it doesn't lead to kufr, I guess its fine.

When was the last time you were back?
