Over the past two decades Somali society has changed a lot, and one of those changes has been in the way women dress. I was curious to see how the majority of SNETTERS feel about this change--whether you are satisfied with it or wish to see a return to the older days. Please vote.

I find it inappropriate for me to usurp the right of women to have free choice. If a woman wants to dress like A, she should have the right and if a woman wants to dress like B, she should have the right.

When i see girls like in the second pic I say Mashallah, wearing this in the west must be extremelly difficult yet they still do it. Like Advo said there's also an element of surprise which makes it interesting. But I'd prefer my wife not to wear 1 especially in the west, back home i would be cool with it.

Colonel, you disappoint me. You can clearly see, the forearms in the first picture, which is in violation of the female awrah. I hope you are aware of this and reconsider.

suitable ? i think that is entirely up to the women themselves, how they feel, what the believe etc its up to them. if i were to aid them with an opinion i would say, the first one would be the attire a women should choose in a friendly secure environment such as 1980s Mogadisho whiles the second one i would advice her to choose in a not so friendly dangerous or foreign place such as 2012 Baidoa or Harlem New York.
