insha ALLAH i will be going to university next year but would appreciate your honest feed back on this.

if you had the choice of studying a law degree or a teaching degree, which would you choose? as i have to decide on this by november..

i would like to study law to become a solicitor, but then am concerned about the limited opportunities in a career, as i hope to live in a islamic country.

I think teaching would suit you better than a lawyer title under your bult.

Neither..money is musuems..become a historian and work in a musuem...

Solicitor ??? I didn't know you had to go to school for panhandling in england?

my brother last year completed Maters in International Law so he can work abroad, if u wanna work in an Islamic country then Law can be useful eerywhere, but I guess u gota specialise in that particular countries Law or something along dem lines saxiib

teaching is for idiots, that is if a teacher's salary is same in the world as it is in america. do this homie, get a law degree and come to the America, the land of opportunity. make sure you specialise in corporate law.

saxiib i had the same dilema choosing my undergraduate course this year. i was also not sure wether to do a straight law degree or a combined honours. as some one who has had a very frustrating time with this decision the last year, i would tell u to ask u'rself what u are interested in studying first, cos the last thing u want is to be stuck doing something u hate for the nex three years.

law makes sense to our parents and my pops has bieng encouraging me to do it from day one. if u'r from england then u can always take a year course after u'r teaching degree and pursue law, so if u'r passionate about the teaching degree, i would say go for it.

if however on the other hand u decide to do the law degree, u are not going to be stuck with limited options. many ppl with law degrees go into the business world.

as educational currency, a law degree is very valuable and well respected by prospective employers.

Sabad: My advice is teaching degree. It gives you the oportunity to work with students and to learn a lot of psichological behaviours. You are responsible of a lot of future minds, and it's a great job. If you learn to convince young people about something, someday, if you decide to get the Law degree, you will be able to convince adult people. Teaching is really important, because you're responsible of the minds, knowledgement and curiosity of young people for the future. Maybe it's not as well paid as being a lawyer, but, surely, you will be reminded tomorrow for that boy or girl who gave his/her steps into literature, drawing, poetry or mathematics. You will be responsible is someone is a mathematics expert, or a doctor or a poet. It's a challenge. Childrens are always innocent, and you have in your hand to make them great adults with great minds.

I totally agree with Kamalita...YOu have a chance to really brainwash and fu.ck up as many young minds as possible. Take this opportunity to psychologically fu.ck up and do what your parents did to you.
