Try to do less complex carbs (starches like bread, rice, etc.) and more non complex carbs (greens). If You do complex carbs make sure it is whole grains like brown rice, whole wheat, oatmeal (very good). ABSOLUTELY stay away from Soda and even with sports drink try to do the '0s like gatorade G2, powerade zero, vitamin water zero etc. The normal sports drinks are fine but they are meant for post workout not casual drinking.



As for Your workouts try to do 4 days of cardio, 3 days of lifting weights. Make sure You do Your lifting before cardio. Don't listen to those idiots that think You can lose weight without building up some muscle tone lest You become like those Somalis that have skinny bodies, and a nasty gut. With Your cardio don't take any shortcuts and try to push Yourself. Sprint for like 5 minutes allout then jog for 5, sprint for 5 and then jog. Your heart rate will go crazy and Your shirt will be fashaq when You're done. If You play basketball that is actually the most ideal but You have to play hard not just standing around. Hope this helped!

He's some trainer and has a very useful website for anyone looking to lose some lbs or tone their body.

Just calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) and deduct about 500 calories from it everyday. That'll give you 3,500 calories per week. Which is exactly how much it takes to loose a lb of fat. Add another 500+ calories in exercise and physical activity a day and you can easily lose 2-3 lbs per week. Last thing you want to do is eat less than a 1,000 calories. That'll throw off your metabolism and send your body in to starvation mode. High metabolism involves eating 5-6 small meals a day, drinking plenty of water and doing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) either at the gym or even at home. P90x already use a lot of HIIT, which is why it's so successful. Also eat a lot of fiber, lean meats, limit simple carbs like sugars, pasta, white rice, etc. A protein shake instead of lunch is a great way to stave off hunger pangs in the afternoon. Also, you shouldn't eat anything after 10 pm or else, it's going to be stored as fat (low metabolism at night). Get it down to simple mathematics and stay informed. Good luck.

1man, I am fat but I get around quit alright...my lower body waa iska caadi just gotta work on the upper body :)

depends on your height mate.
If you are below 6 ft then its classified as being overweight and obesse.
